A heavy rain warning remains in force for Eastern, Northern and interior of Viti Levu, Yasawa and Mamanuca Group and Kadavu and nearby smaller islands, Vanua Levu, Taveuni and nearby smaller islands and the Lau and Lomaiviti Groups and is now cancelled over the Western parts of Viti Levu.

A trough of low pressure lies over the country and is gradually moving eastwards. It is expected to gradually weaken from tonight. Associated cloud and rain is expected to affect the parts of the group till later tonight.
