A man in his 60s from Nasavu Village has died following a serious motor vehicle accident along the Kings Road near Wairuku in Ra last night.

The victim was a passenger in a vehicle driven by a man in his 30s when it reportedly veered off the road, resulting in critical injuries to all five occupants.

Emergency services rushed the driver, the deceased, and three other passengers to Rakiraki Hospital, where the man was pronounced dead on arrival.

Two passengers are still admitted at Rakiraki Hospital, while a third has been transferred to Lautoka Aspen Hospital for further treatment.

Authorities have confirmed that the driver will be interviewed as part of ongoing investigations into the cause of the crash.
