Prime Minister Sitiveni Rabuka was accorded a full guard of honour by the Papua New Guinea Defence Force upon arrival in Port Moresby yesterday afternoon.
He was received by PNG’s Deputy Prime Minister John Rosso at the Jackson International Airport.
Prime Minister Rabuka then inspected the guard of honour that included 96 men and women of the PNG Defence Force.
As part of the welcome ceremony, the children of Motu Koitabu, who are the descendants of the landowners of Port Moresby performed a cultural dance.
Prime Minister Rabuka will join other regional leaders for the 3rd Forum for India-Pacific Islands Cooperation (FIPIC) later in the week.
