Fiji will expect the hot and humid season to continue, as the weather currently being experienced across Fiji is part of the ongoing cyclone season, which is typically associated with high temperatures and increased humidity.
Director of the Fiji Meteorological Service, Misaeli Funaki, said that these weather patterns are expected to persist for the next one to two months and will serve as key indicators of how the upcoming dry season may unfold, particularly in terms of rainfall levels and temperature trends.
Funaki urged parents and guardians to remain vigilant and ensure the safety of their children, noting that afternoon showers are likely and the prevailing hot and humid conditions may cause discomfort, especially for the young and the elderly.
