Tanoa Hotel Group is utilising the Fiji Tourism Exchange to advocate on sustainable and sports tourism.

Tanoa Group Sales and Revenue Manager Kushend Kumar, said the company’s location has marked them different from other hotels in the market.

“Our location is key. We don’t have the sand and the sea, but we have great locations where the guest can get connectivity to experience more of Fiji”, he said.

The company is also focusing on Sports tourism, following their partnership with local rugby unions, and our national rugby team Fijian Drua.

“We have hosted a lot of international rugby teams here as well, just recently we have the Japan and New Zealand teams for the Marist Sevens in Suva”, he said.

“We have space at our Tanoa International hotel, and we’re developing our sports ground. We have completed stage one, and now we’re on stage two, where we’re putting the irrigation system into the ground, so that we have a full verse rugby field, so that this could be well utilized when hosting teams,” he added.
