Head coach Saiasi Fuli says that their final preparations are focused on ensuring the team’s endurance, combination structure and defense are well planned.

“We want to have the ability to maintain cohesion and resilience during the demanding final minutes of each half.

“It’s all part of the plan and of course that’s where endurance comes in,” said Fuli.

He added, “After Hong Kong 7’s we have laid out our priorities, one is mental toughness.”

Fuli says that mental toughness was important during critical moments of the game.

“Especially when fatigue sets in, it affects how we play the game and we want to strengthen that area before we head to Singapore.”

The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s finished 6th at the Hong Kong 7s after bowing out of the quarterfinals.

In Singapore, The Fiji Airways Fijiana 7s will face Australia, Brazil and Great Britain in Pool C.

The Singapore 7s kicks off on 3-5 May.
