Fiji will soon have a new “Institute of High Medical Science and Research”.
Chairman of the Sri Sathya Sanjeevani Children’s Hospital – Sumeet Tappoo, announced this during the Hospital’s 2nd anniversary.
Tappoo says the establishment of the Sri Madhusudan Sai Institute of High Medical Science and Research will nurture and empower the brightest minds from Fiji and the Pacific, shaping them into tomorrow’s medical pioneers.
He says an Infection Prevention Training Centre will also be launched.
Meanwhile, Global Humanitarian and Founder of the Children’s Hospital, Sadguru Sri Madhusdan Sai says one request that was brought to his attention was the need for capacity building and training.
He says that was why that decided to bring this Institute to Fiji.
More information on the new institute and the training center will be released soon by the hospital in collaboration with the Fijian Government.
