The Water Authority of Fiji’s Chief Executive Officer, Dr Amit Chanan and Chief Operating Officer, Seru Soderberg, visited Malake Island to inspect the completed submarine pipeline upgrade project.
The one million dollar project, will ensure reliable water access for its six hundred and fifty residents.
This will meeting the community’s needs, replacing a previous pipeline prone to breakage.
Jone Luvuonowai a villager from Malake Island expressed his gratitude for the improved water supply.
Water Authority of Fiji plans further improvements, including exploring reservoir options for better water distribution.
