USP MBA programme ranked fourth in Oceania

The Master of Business Administration or MBA programme at the University of the South Pacific’s School of Business and Management reached a significant milestone as it ranked fourth in the Executive MBA category in Oceania by the Eduniversal Ranking 2024 Best Masters.

The Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking comprehensively evaluates Masters and MBA programmes globally and stands as the sole platform assessing individual master courses across 56 diverse fields of study worldwide.

USP is the only other University alongside the University of Hawai’i at Manao, the University of Otago in New Zealand and seven others from Australia that ranked in the Top 10 – 2024 Eduniversal Best Masters Ranking for MBA in Oceania. 

Head of USP’s School of Business and Management Professor Gurmeet Singh said the ranking is profoundly significant for USP, affirming strong position in the Oceania educational landscape. 

He added it underscores our dedication to delivering an exceptional education and competing robustly on a regional scale. 

“The implications of this ranking for our MBA programme are extensive: it enhances the programme’s attractiveness to prospective students worldwide, potentially improves job prospects for our graduates and attracts more interest from top employers, fosters pride and boosts morale among our current students, faculty, and alumni, encouraging continued excellence and innovation and enhances overall quality”. 

He also stressed the significance of the MBA programme in that it extends beyond regional borders, impacting the global academic and business landscapes as it provides a unique regional insight, promotes cultural proficiency, and emphasises sustainability with diverse networking opportunities.

USP Vice-Chancellor and President, Professor Pal Ahluwalia expressed his gratitude to the hardworking staff of SBM and the MBA programme for their dedication and commitment to maintaining the high standard of delivering the internationally accredited MBA programme.

“I am proud of the achievement of our MBA programme; competing with internationally renowned universities in the region and being the only University from Fiji to rank in the Top 10 Executive Masters in Oceania is indeed a major milestone.”
